Umhlanga Henderson and Partners group practice requires a Occupational Therapy Technician who will be based at our Mondia Umhlanga facility in Durban reporting to the Therapy Program Manager.
Are you a person who can strike up a conversation with almost anybody? Do you care about the wellbeing of people and like to motivate people?
You will be working in an environment where you will motivate and support patients daily to attend a therapeutic program. You will interact with patients, nursing staff, therapists, and doctors to provide feedback on the daily activities of patients.
You will support Occupational therapists in helping clients with various mental health conditions improve their daily functioning, independence, and overall well-being.
You will be expected to assist with group activities as well as individual journeys of patients. You will form an integral part of the team to support our patients.
REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING
- Relevant Diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistance
- 2 years or more relevant experience in Mental Health environment
