SUPPORTER AT MONDIA UMHLANGA – DURBAN

Mondia HealthCare requires a Supporter who will be based at our Mondia Umhlanga Facility in Durban reporting to the Facility Manager. Are you a person that enjoys offering treatment and support for people struggling with mental health challenges? Do you care about the wellbeing of people and like to motivate people?

You will work in an environment where you will be expected to:

  • Assess, Observe, monitor and provide information about patient health and behaviour to the rest of the IDT team
  • Provide a safe and supportive physical and psychological environment
  • Manage and educate patients around important aspects with regards to prescribed medication
  • Support patients with processing of therapy interventions during their daily schedule
  • Facilitate patient compliance with regards to therapy activities and the daily schedule.

You will form part of a nursing team that work together with Psychiatrists, Psychologists and other clinicians to combine their efforts efficiently and effectively, and in so doing so achieve consistently good outcomes for patients placed in our care.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

  • Care Worker certificate
  • 2 years or more clinical experience

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY TECHNICIAN AT MONDIA UMHLANGA – DURBAN

Henderson and Partners group practice requires a Occupational Therapy Technician who will be based at our Mondia Umhlanga facility in Durban reporting to the Therapy Program Manager.
Are you a person who can strike up a conversation with almost anybody? Do you care about the wellbeing of people and like to motivate people?
You will be working in an environment where you will motivate and support patients daily to attend a therapeutic program. You will interact with patients, nursing staff, therapists, and doctors to provide feedback on the daily activities of patients.

You will support Occupational therapists in helping clients with various mental health conditions improve their daily functioning, independence, and overall well-being.
You will be expected to assist with group activities as well as individual journeys of patients. You will form an integral part of the team to support our patients.

REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

  • Relevant Diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistance
  • 2 years or more relevant experience in Mental Health environment

the Facility Manager.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

  • Grade 12 with the relevant nursing qualifications.
  • Registered with the South African Nursing Council.
  • 2 Years or more experience as an Enrolled Nurse within a clinical environment.
  • Mental Health experience is advantageous.
  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of

hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination required.
